Abstract

Research undertaken in this thesis is to answer: how management system and strategy applied by TVRI up to now perform. On the basis of this research this study develops an appropriate strategy map on the basis of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model. Selection of Balanced Scorecard model as an analytical tool is believed that the BSC model contains a comprehensive and coherent management concept. It is comprehensive because it keeps a balance between finanacial perspective / financial performance and non-financial perspective (such as customer perspective, internal business perspective, learning and growth perspective). It is coherent because a performance in one perspective or in other perspectives will influence each others. With clear measuring base for those programs and targets achieved of each perspective, it has made Balanced Scorecard become an accurate measure of performance. In its development, balanced Scorecard has also become an easy working model for the management to communicate strategy and implementing vision and mission into stratetegic and measureable programs. From the research findings, it has been known that each perspective of TVRI’s performance is very weak. In such a manner the strategy is sporadically applied, as just to overcome the existing problem. Less integrated and has no long-term dimension.Therefore, it is needed to have a comprehensive strategy map who easy to be implemented. The strategy map is made based on capacity and in accordance with the organization’s internal and external environment. It is therefore sound to assume that developing a strategy based upon balanced scorecard is very relevant.

Abstract

This research aim to test performance which influenced by ability, Motivation, and Locus of Control with Variabel Self Efficacy as mediasi. Population in this research is employees Edukatif in University of Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) with number of samples or data amount which processed is 103 kuisioner. In this research data analyzer applies SEM ( Structural Equation Modeling) with help of program Sofware AMOS 60 for windows. This research proves that ability of influential positive and not significant to self efficacy, motivation influential positive and significant to self efficacy, locus of control influential positive and not significant to self efficacy and self efficacy influential positive and significant to performance, ability of influential positive indirect and not significant  to performance as mediasi by self efficacy, motivation influential positive indirect and significant to performance as mediasi by self efficacy, locus of control influential positive indirect and significant to performance in mediasi by self efficacy. Analysis from result, show that model goodness of fit tested at research of approximant overall of can fulfill criterion level fit. Which the result have been solvent of confirmation the factor from a concept through empirical indicatorss and able to measure influence between factors based on the existing theory.

Abstract

Brand switching behavior is important issue in hard business competition nowadays, especially in cellular phone business. Brand switching behavior is defined as consumer susceptibility to switch to other brand because of several reasons.    This research’s purposes are: 1) to analyze prior experience, product knowledge and media search factors in order to shape the customer’s consideration set size in buying SIM card, 2)to analyze influence of customer satisfaction to brand switching behavior in buying SIM card, 3)to analyze  influence of consideration set size to brand switching behavior in buying SIM card, 4)to analyze influence of retailer search to brand switching behavior in buying SIM card. The sample of research is 159 respondents fulfilling the criteria as people who lived in Yogyakarta Special Region and have switched their SIM card in last 3 years. The research data are primary data, that are straight taken from questionnaires have been given to respondents. Validity test uses confirmatory factor analysis and reliability test uses alpha cronbach. Data analyze uses stuctural equation model (SEM) with AMOS program. Research model in this research is model that was developed by Sambandam and Lord (1995).

Abstract

A valuation model is a mechanism that converts a set of forecast a series of company and economic variables into a forecast of market value for the company’s stock. This purpose of this paper to evaluate intrinsic value of stock are used dividend discount model (DDM) and so to compare at market stock price. BUMN firms are used at this research object because covering all industrial situation. The DDM was operationalised to test on nine BUMN firms and based on the result it is found that eight BUMN firms are undervalued and one BUMN firm is overvalued.

Abstract

The more widespread application of knowledge management embodies the recognition of the importance of intangible assets in the form knowledge. Knowledge which is managed and developed will achieve competence and expertise, which ultimately could improve the competitiveness and performance. Several empirical studies support the opinion of experts, who had certainly found out that knowledge management could improve corporate innovation. Although it does not become the only factor, empirically, knowledge management could improve corporate performances. The implementation of knowledge management is not only suitable for commercial companies and large companies; knowledge management can also be applied to non-profit organizations (NPOs) and for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between leader-member exchange, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in service industry. Following social exchange theory and role theory, we compete three relationship models. Resuls from correlation and regression study with 430 respondents of  service industry indicate that leader-member exchange, job satisfaction, continuance organizational commitment are the predictors of affective organizational commitment in service industry.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate student soft skill training program, especially on student satisfaction toward soft skill training execution, student understanding of training material, identification of self efficacy level (before and after training) and the training impact to the student behavior. 31 student from management Department were involved in this research. Mean analisys and paired sample t test were used to analyze data. The results showed that (i) student were satisfied with training execution in all aspecs (ii) student understood with training material (iii) there was a difference level of self efficacy (before and after training) (iv) student behavior changing didn’t need long time.
